About Energy$avers

The Energy$avers grant program is designed to help bungalow owners lower their gas and electric bills, make their homes more comfortable and reduce their energy use.

Weatherization services may include:

• Sealing leaks and gaps in the attic, basement and sidewalls
• Attic Insulation
• Weather stripping around windows and doors
• Furnace and boiler repairs

Am I eligible for the grant?

To qualify for the Energy$avers grant, you need the following:

• A certified bungalow with HCBA
• Household income must be at or below 120% Are Median Income (AMI): Please refer to the chart below for more details
• You have not received a previous grant from the HCBA

Eligible low-to-moderate income bungalow owners may receive a grant with no financial obliations.  The entire cost is covered if the homeowner has an AMI of 120% or below, as shown:

Important Notes:

• The grants are available for a limited time only and on a first-come, first-served basis
• Work completed prior to HCBA grant approval is not eligible for grant funding
• All street-facing exterior improvements completed after certification must meet the HCBA Design Guidelines in order to remain eligible for the Energy$avers grant
