Barbara Yaross Art Exhibition

Chicago Landscapes: an intimate view

Open to the public at the Historic Chicago Bungalow Association

The Historic Chicago Bungalow Association is displaying 30 original works of Barbara Yaross.  Not only does Barbara live in a historic Chicago bungalow, but her recent work has focused on the bungalow-filled West Ridge neighborhood where she lives. This series of paintings and works on paper consists of views from her windows, doors, as well as those down the street and around the neighborhood from her home.  Her artistic impulse is to see the beauty and extraordinary within the ordinary.  

All original works are available for purchase, and selected works are available as giclee prints.

The bungalow of our members, Peggy and John Bradley, is featured in American Bungalow Magazine's Spring 2012 Family Album!

The love and care the Bradley's have for their 1923 bungalow located in the heart of Chicago's "Bungalow Belt" truly is special. We love their idea of expanding not by building out on the small lot, but by building from the basement, adding a family room, guest suite, and workroom. HCBA was able to visit their home this past fall. We were amazed by their warm and cozy basement transformation.  Meeting Tommy the cat was a treat too!  Take a look at their feature in American Bungalow Magazine's Family Album here!
