The purpose of the Design Guidelines for Historic Chicago Bungalows
is to provide owners with a general reference source for the "Dos
and Don'ts" of bungalow preservation. The booklet also includes
landscape guidelines.
This annual event brings together all the resources owners or potential owners need to purchase, restore or rehab a bungalow.

ranging from cleaning masonry to researching the history of your home.

Eight sets of pattern drawings are available to purchase for the most common bungalow rehabilitation projects: a rear addition, a dormer addition, a bathroom, a kitchen, a basement, exterior improvements, building green, and independent living.
Each model home conforms to the Design Guidelines for Historic Chicago Bungalows and incorporates a wealth of energy efficient, environmentally friendly products and design ideas.
