Chicago Bungalow Association Updates​

To help stop the spread of the COVID-19 in Illinois, CBA will be:​
​
  • Suspending all Energy Savers retrofit work until at least May 30, 2020. No home energy assessments or retrofits will be conducted.

    • If you are currently scheduled for an Energy Savers assessment and/or insulation work, you should have received a call from DNR Construction.

    • If you are waiting to receive an appointment for an Energy Savers assessment and/or insulation work, expect major delays. Scheduling will not resume prior to May 30, 2020.

COVID-19 Housing Assistance Grant
​
IMPORTANT NOTE: This grant is currently not available.

 

In the event that more funding should become available, we will be accepting a waiting list of applications. Submitting your application does not mean you will receive funding.

 

If applications are incomplete, or if your income does not meet the requirements, you will NOT hear from us, as we expect a large number of applications.

​

This program established by the City of Chicago's Department of Housing will transfer a one-time, $1,000 cash grant to income-eligible Chicago residents who have been impacted by job or income loss due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). These funds are intended to help assist with rent or mortgage payments. Limit one grant per household.

Eligibility

​

  • Chicago residents (yes, renters too!) who have either lost their job or had their hours
    reduced due to the Coronavirus. For example, those who: 

    • have been laid off, fired or furloughed

    • have had their hours reduced 

    • participate in the gig economy or are independent contractors

    • are informally employed

    • are without documented status

  • Income before Coronavirus was 60% Area Median Income or below (see chart):
