The front door to the Williams' home was located on the side of the house and there was a Juliet blancony at the front. It was uninviting and often confusing for guests. They removed the balcony's wall, the side lights and the pillars. The side door was covered with reused brick and the entryway was converted into a bathroom. A new exterior was constructed on the front of the home to match the style of the bungalow.
