Project Description
Jennifer Mach: rehabbed her cramped bungalow kitchen while retaining the original footprint of the space. The larger appliances were rearranged to make the kitchen more functional, better-lit, and less cluttered, and beautiful, original details like the cast-iron sink were preserved. The original wood trim, doors and windows were stripped and stained. The pantry was updated with Metro shelving and small appliances, including the microwave, were moved onto the pantry shelves to reduce clutter. The original radiator was removed to make room for a central peninsula topped with soapstone, to provide needed counter space. Radiant heating under the floor provides heat.
