Project Description
Nathan and Kelly Walker added a new cedar deck and new wood windows to the rear of their bungalow, while maintaining the footprint of the home’s original rear porch. This allowed for unobstructed views of the Chicago River from their newly rehabbed kitchen. Aluminum siding was removed and replaced with cedar clapboard, and aluminum soffits were removed and replaced with beadboard, consistent with the bungalow’s original construction. Vinyl and glass block windows were also removed and replaced with wooden windows, including a custom arched window in the front of the basement.
