Project Description
The Holloways wanted something unique and interesting to encourage them to spend more time in their bungalow backyard. Andrell always wanted a pond for his bungalow, and liked the idea of something that’s uncommon for small yards, not to mention for city homes. The family began by taking pond tours in the suburbs for ideas. They decided to build a koi and goldfish pond with a natural look and a waterfall. Andrell joined a Chicagoland pond society where he got advice throughout the process, and taught himself how to install a filtration system. The Holloways were committed to building the pond by themselves properly and quickly, completing it in just two weeks. Now they have a peaceful waterfall and pond to draw butterflies and birds, and also themselves to spend time outdoors.
