Project Description
Woodwork Restoration and Doorway Expansion
Renee and Jen loved the charm of their new Dunning bungalow but felt the dark woodwork and narrowed dining room opening were making the whole house feel cramped. During doorway demo, they discovered that the original framing was still intact and wider than anticipated! To complete the restoration, all first-floor woodwork was stripped and re-stained, the dirty popcorn plaster ceiling was removed, and the chair rail was replaced with a historically appropriate one. Cramped no more, Renee and Jen enjoy their lighter, airier rooms almost as much as their epic Fiddle Leaf Fig plant.
