For 25 years, Michael and Karen searched for an original built-in to fit the empty space where their pantry once was. At a garage sale, they finally found the perfect one salvaged from a neighboring bungalow. Michael stripped its 8 layers of paint, stain and shellac, rebuilt the missing cabinet base, then re-stained and installed it in what is now the charming vintage breakfast nook they’ve always wanted.
