Project Description
A 1950s remodel of Steve and Alice’s bathroom left outdated plastic tiles, crumbling plaster walls, inefficient plumbing fixtures, and damaged woodwork. Steve and Alice restored the bathroom’s woodwork and followed a tile and fixture scheme that honors the era when their bungalow was built. At the same time, they made practical updates like replacing the rarely used bathtub with a safe and accessible shower, replacing plaster walls with water-resistant wallboard, and choosing retro plumbing fixtures with water-saving features.
