Pedro and Joyce lovingly rehabbed their small bungalow kitchen while retaining as many of the charming elements as possible, such as the original subway tile, which was something that attracted them to their bungalow from the very beginning. They went out of their way to install custom cabinetry around the tile, freshened up the original built-in hutch, and cleverly created much needed counter space by extending the base cabinets around the radiator. One of the many other practical upgrades is the clever use of the original ironing board closet as the new spice shelf!
